As I awake from my sleep so deep
My eyes still drenched with sleep
Your silent absence fills the room
And what was happy is now gloom
Ending silence as I start to weep.
There is no wound from blood to seep
Just a simple promise to keep
I can't help feel a sense of doom
As I awake.
As I awake from troubled sleep
Filled with doubts as worries heap
With reluctance I must resume
With deeds that will only consume
My conscience making me feel cheap
As I awake.
My eyes still drenched with sleep
Your silent absence fills the room
And what was happy is now gloom
Ending silence as I start to weep.
There is no wound from blood to seep
Just a simple promise to keep
I can't help feel a sense of doom
As I awake.
As I awake from troubled sleep
Filled with doubts as worries heap
With reluctance I must resume
With deeds that will only consume
My conscience making me feel cheap
As I awake.
