Heaven tears pour mournfully
Torrential, sporadic, steady sorrow
Overflowing, renting the clouds
Unnoticed
Until the sinner stood
waist deep in a swirling dirge
Only then did he look up
Only then did he become concerned
Worry wrinkled his brow with concertation
Fear confused him mind as the drops pelted his face
Nudged from complacency by a need to survive
Heaven mourns and cannot be comforted
Her children have forsaken her, abandoned her
and they contemplate it not, nor do their hearts remind
And so she mourns
And shall mourn
Until
all are swept away with the cleansing flood.
