This is similar to Balderdash, but a little different - I've done this on forums a few times, so I might as well share it with you here.

Here are some events that have occurred on Christmas Day in the following years - one of them is a lie. Your job is to figure out which one:
December 15, 1776
George Washington crossed the Delaware with 5,400 troups, hoping to surprise the Hessian army who were partying in Trenton, New Jersey.
December 15, 1869
John Wesley Hardin, a record breaking gunslinger, was killed over a dispute in a card game. He was known to have killed over thirty people and was the son of a Methodist Preacher.
December 15, 1943
Elsie David of King Edward Avenue in Toronto, Canada received twenty-five dollars from the Globe & Mail newspaper, for building the largest snowman in Ward 10. It was 10 foot, 6 inches, including the black silk top hat.
December 15, 1914
At midnight, almost all German troops stopped firing their guns and began to sing Christmas Carols. It was said that some of them even had brass bands.
December 15, 1938
Vivien Leigh was asked to play the part of Scarlett O'Hara.
December 15, 1899
Humphrey Bogart was born.
December 15, 1996
Jimmy Buffett left for a 3 week cruise that inspired the book 'A Pirate Looks at Fifty'.
OK - leave your answers (this one is easy - I'll make 'em tougher next time).
